I was born in Maine and have called New Hampshire “home” since 1983. I’m a 37-year-old social work BSW, after changing careers from the Criminal Justice field. In June 2003, I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis, an incurable and often painful gynecological disorder which is a leading cause of infertility. A laparoscopy led to the removal of my left ovary and fallopian tube and has left me with right tubal edema (swelling) and scarring. I experienced one miscarriage in 1999, and am an advocate for infertility and endometriosis awareness and research. Due to the severity of my endometriosis and opinion of reproductive physicians that in vitro fertilization (IVF) is unlikely to be successful, I have abandoned my dream of bearing a biological child and am considering adoption.
I hope you enjoy this website. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding Endometriosis, as I have done extensive research on it (but I don’t claim to be an expert).
